Sto četrdeset godina dugu istoriju visokoškolskog bibliotekarskog obrazovanja
u svetu neprestano su pratile nedoumice vezane za sadržinu nastave, odnosno
poteškoće oko uspostavljanja neophodne ravnoteže između teorije i prakse
bibliotekarstva kao nauke i kao delatnosti. U ovom radu je, istorijskim
i komparativnim metodom, načinjen pokušaj iznalaženja optimalnog nastavnog
programa za studije bibliotekarstva u savremenom trenutku.

The Contents
of the Higher Education of Librarians
One hundred and forty year long history of the higher library education
in the world have been constantly followed by confusion regarding the
contents of the teaching, i.e. by difficulties regarding the establishing
of a necessary balance between the theory and practice of librarianship
both as a science and as an activity. In this work, one has tried, by
using the historical and comparative methods, to find an optimal curriculum
for the studies of librarianship today.
