"Libraries without frontiers" was founded to help development, introduction and application of Internet technology in librarianship, presentation of libraries and their holdings on the Internet, based on the adopted technological international standards and application of other modern library methods for advancement of librarianship.

Because of its aim, "Libraries without frontiers" are specialy commited to:

* advancement (skilled and technological) of librarianship in SR Yugoslavia and Balkan;

* popularization of reading and systematic protection of books and other publications, connection and organization of libraries and library organizations via Internet;

* providing of skilled and technological support for members in realization of presentation of libraries and library organizations on the Internet;

* organization of meetings, seminars and conferences, and other forms of advanced trainings in librarianship and Internet technologies:

* publishing books, CD-ROM, video and other publications in librarianship;

* organizations of scientific and skilled staff for the work on scientific and research projects in librarianship and Internet technologies;

* cooperation with Universities, library associations and other organizations in our country and abroad, which are dedicated to librarianship and Internet technologies;

* proper presentation of interested subjects in public.
