Deset godina Katedre za bibliotekarstvo i informatiku
Filološkog fakulteta u Beogradu

Osnovana 1990. godine u vreme kada su uslovi za početak i rad bili teški i nesigurni, Katedra za bibliotekarstvo i informatiku uspela je da prebrodi sve početne teškoće i probleme, zahvaljujući velikom razumevanju dekanskog kolegijuma i Nastavno-naučnog veća Filološkog fakulteta, saradnji sa Narodnom bibliotekom Srbije, drugim velikim bibliotekama i Društvom bibliotekara Srbije i uz veliki entuzijazam svog nastavničkog tima.
Proteklih deset godina ispunjene su naporima da se sadržaj nastavnog plana i programa redovno odvija i inovira prema kretanjima u svetskom bibliotekarstvu, da se ne zaostane za novim teoretskim rešenjima, da se prate i primenjuju sve odluke IFLA-e, FID-a, UNESCO-a i drugih organizacija, da se teorija proveri u praksi.
Katedra je obeležila prvu desetogodišnjicu oktobra 2001. sa 125 diplomiranih studenata i sa 11 odbranjenih specijalističkih radova, 10 magistarskih teza i 4 doktorske disertacije, sa više magistarskih i doktorskih disertacija u pripremi.

Ten years of the Department for Librarianship and Information Science of the Philological Faculty in Belgrade.

Founded in 1990, at the time when the conditions for its beginning and work were hard and uncertain, the Department for Librarianship and Information Science succeeded in overcoming all difficulties and problems, thanks to the considerable understanding of the dean and his colleagues and the Council of the Philological Faculty, to the cooperation with the National Library of Serbia, other great libraries and the Society of Librarians of Serbia, as well as to the great enthusiasm of its teaching team.
The last ten years were filled with efforts to provide a regular development of the curriculum and its advancement according to the tendencies of the world librarianship, not to lag behind new theoretical solutions, to follow and apply all decisions of IFLA, FID, UNESCO and other organizations, to check the theory in practice.
The Department marked the first decennial in October 2001 with 125 graduate students and with 11 defended specialist works, 10 MA theses and 4 Ph.D. dissertations, and with many other MA and Ph.D. dissertations in preparation.
